Why I built
Pace & Race

My little brother wanted to use AI for his homework.

I didn't want to say no. AI is already part of his world. But I wanted him to use it with his own brain switched on.

I went looking for something made for elementary kids. Something that shows how AI works, where it gets things wrong, and why you should think before you ask. I found coding classes. I found tools for teenagers. I didn't find the one habit I wanted him to learn.

So I built Pace & Race.

Pace the turtle slows down and plans. Race the bunny tries, misses, and tries again. GiGi shows what's happening inside the machine, including why it sometimes guesses wrong.

AI will keep getting better at answering. Kids need to get better at asking.
